Do I Have To Stay In Costa Brava If I Wish To Scuba Dive

We are 3 of us & are planning to stay at Barcelona in coming May. If I wish to sky dive & scuba dive in Costa brava then are 3 nights 4 days enough in Barcelona to hop on & off in Medes islands.

Could you guide me proper time allotment at Barcelona & Costa brava to cover the activities.

Barcelona is a fantastic city with a lot of sights to see above the water. If you have not been to the city before and are only coming for 4 days, I really would recommend that you stick to viewing the attractions of Barcelona city.

But if you really want to sky dive and scuba dive then for the best experience you really should travel up the coast to the Costa Brava.

As far as scuba diving is concerned - the coast line is flat around Barcelona whereas around the Costa Brava it is rocky and more interesting. Most towns along the Costa Brava have a dive centre. If you want to dive the Medes Islands, then head to L'Estartit or L'Escala.

The best area for sky diving near to Barcelona is the Bay of Roses - nearest towns are Roses, L'Escala, Empuriabrava.

It would be possible to scuba dive and sky dive in one day from Barcelona, but you would need to leave the city very early. It might be best to hire a car to get there. The Bay of Roses area is 2 hours drive from Barcelona.
