Live Music Venues - Costa Brava

Hi

We are two mad musicians heading to the Costa Brava.
We are playing some gigs in France and then heading into Spain for some fun and sun around from July to August.

Do you know of any restaurants or bars that might want a couple of musicians (busking or paid).

We have a small caravan attached so we will have a look at your camping site recommendations as well.

Anything else we should know?

Mas Pi - Verges

We have been to their live music sessions on Friday evenings a few times and they are always great fun.

They definitely hire small bands and solo artists.

This is a recommendation from a friend of ours, so we can’t vouch for it ourselves, but we have been told that Blue Sky Cafe has good live music.

Heliogabal - Barcelona

Heliogabal is a cool arty bar in Barcelona that hosts local and international small bands and solo artists. They also have poetry nights and art exhibitions.

Sunset Jazz Club - Girona

This is good live music venue bar in the old town of Girona. They only host jazz bands (as their name might suggest), but looking at your website, I can see jazz is one of your influences.

They hire local and international bands.

Pasko’s Balkan Grill - Mas Fumats (near Roses)

This restaurant is owned by a Serbian family and hosts live music a couple of nights a week in the summer months.

The food is great, but we haven’t actually been to a live music night here before. We think the music is generally local bands, but it would be worth contacting them to see if they would host an international band.

L’Hostal - Cadaques

L’Hostal is a bar in lovely Cadaques that hosts all different types of live music. It’s a really nice intimate venue. An old haunt of Salvador Dali.

Not sure what type of camping experience you like, but the campgrounds near the coastal towns on the Costa Brava tend to be quite big. In land you will find smaller more basic camping sites. We haven’t yet finished those campsite recommendations, but hope to soon.
